Motorcycles

Are motorcycles a good thing to have and invest in?  Yes.  One good reason to purchase a motorcycle is  for fuel efficiency.  They have better milage than cars and can run much longer on one tank.  Another reason to get a motorcycle is to avoid traffic.  We have all seen it, a motorcycle whizzing past between cars while everyone else is at a dead stop.  Motorcycles are much better in cities and places where parking is hard to find as well.  They are a bette means of transportation, if that is all your are looking for.  I think that they should be used more than cars just like in Europe, because they are much more practical than SUV's.  Everyone should own a motorcycle or at least experience the thrill.

Even though there are great perks to driving motorcycles like you mentioned, I would never buy a motorcycle for myself and I know many people who wouldn't either. Despite the fact that they are fuel efficient, and more practical, they are extremely dangerous vehicles to drive. According to statistics, motorcyclists are 35 times more likely to die in a car crash than those passengers in a car. This number is incredible, and deters many people from driving motorcycles. I have met and heard of stories of people who have crashed and died in motorcycle accidents on the highway, and in city streets. I would never drive a motorcycle, but their will always be people who enjoy the thrill and commodity of driving one in spite of the risks. Their is more incredible statistics shown in this website: http://www.motorcycle-accidents.com/pages/stats.html.

In your post Motorcycles, I see this as a clear argument. You had a solid claim by answering your question and your had good reasons with clear evidence. One thing that you might change to help this argument more argumentative would be to you more evidence given for your reasons. Some of the evidence that was given might have been more expanded on to show your argument a little better. Other than that, your argument is solid and allows other bloggers to argument their ideas back.
